Shadow Skulpts

formalizes a hypothetical mathematical space shifting in multiple dimensions. Shadows projected through the course of a day are traced, indicating the tangential shift of an object. The ground on which it stands rotates in space (an object on a sphere). Five shadow tracings are scaled to size, fabricated into acrylic light reliefs, and arranged into a sculptural form. Solid surfaces cut out gestures and colors twist into temporal passages of light and form. The piece transforms physical daylight during the course of a day, reflecting expressions of its object as it had rotated in time.
